Most clients feel only a light sensation; the treatment is gentle when performed by a licensed esthetician. It won't cause permanent damage. Mild redness may appear but typically fades within 24 to 48 hours. Avoid active exfoliants for several days afterward.

Typical sessions at Lash and Beauty Loft last about thirty to forty-five minutes, including consultation and gentle cleansing. If combined with a facial or additional enhancements, please plan for up to sixty to seventy-five minutes to allow time for extra treatments and post-care guidance.

No—dermaplaning does not change hair thickness or growth rate. The hair removed is vellus hair with a tapered tip; regrowth returns the same. You may notice a smoother surface, but hair will grow back naturally and typically requires maintenance every four to six weeks.

Dermaplaning can be safe for many sensitive or acne-prone clients, but not for active cystic acne or open lesions. Our estheticians will assess your skin during consultation and recommend alternative treatments or modifications to ensure safety and optimal results.

Avoid retinol, chemical peels, waxing, or aggressive exfoliants for at least three to five days before your appointment. Come with clean skin and disclose medications or recent treatments so we can tailor the session and minimize irritation risk.

Most clients schedule dermaplaning every four to six weeks to maintain smooth, radiant skin and allow the skin cycle to regenerate. Your esthetician will suggest a personalized schedule based on skin type, concerns, and any concurrent treatments.
